Terms of Service

- Your courses and notes are yours. We only host them.
- Use Parcourse to learn. Don't use it to break the law or to hurt the service or other people.
- AI makes mistakes, so check anything that matters.
- Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.
- You can leave with your data, and run it yourself on open-source Parcourse.
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Deepansh Khurana, an individual based in India ("we", "us"), who runs the hosted Parcourse service at parcourse.study. Dimwit Labs is only the label Deepansh publishes work under. It isn't a company and isn't a party to these terms. By creating an account or using an instance, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Parcourse software is open source under the GNU AGPL v3. These terms apply only to the hosted service at parcourse.study. They don't cover your right to use the code, or instances other people host.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account.
- Give us a real email address, and keep your password to yourself.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- If you own an instance, you're responsible for the people you invite and what they do in it.
- You may invite people aged 13 to 17 only with a parent's or guardian's consent. Getting that consent is up to you, and you're liable if you don't.
Your content
What you create in Parcourse is yours. You let us store, process and show it only as far as running the service for you needs. That permission ends when you delete it.
Videos belong to their creators. Parcourse turns them into study material for you and the people on your instance, and that's all it's for. Follow YouTube's terms and the creator's rights.
AI output
Courses, questions and marks come from the AI provider you connect, and they can be wrong. Treat them as study aids, not professional advice. Your provider's terms and charges apply to your use of it, and you pay them directly.
What you can't do
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's rights.
- Upload or generate content that's abusive, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or meant to harm someone.
- Attack, probe, overload or get around the limits of the service.
- Resell or re-host the service without our written permission.
Plans and billing
- Prices: Each plan's price and what it includes are shown before you pay. Taxes such as GST are added where the law requires.
- Renewal: Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancelling: Cancel any time from your account. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then stops.
- Refunds: If you're unhappy within 14 days of your first payment, email us for a full refund. After that, we don't refund part periods unless the law requires it.
- Price changes: We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. You can cancel before then.
- Failed payments: We'll email you. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, we may pause your instance until it is. Your data stays put while it's paused.
The service
We work to keep Parcourse fast and available, but we can't promise it never goes down. We move instances to new Parcourse releases as they come out, and features may change over time. If we ever shut the hosted service down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and refund any time you've paid for but won't get.
Leaving
You can delete your account or instance any time. Before you do, ask and we'll send you a full export of your instance. It runs on self-hosted Parcourse, so you can take it with you.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless it's urgent or the law stops us, we'll tell you first and give you the chance to take your data.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows:
- We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data you could have exported.
- Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't let a contract take away.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Parcourse after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel and leave with your data.
Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of India. Write to us first and we'll try to sort it out. If we can't, the courts of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, decide.
